This is an extraordinary time, full of opportunity and risk. I believe there is risk in doing more of the same thing and expecting different results; and in waiting for things to get better.
There is opportunity in understanding what’s changed in your customers’ buying motivation AND in finding new ones. There is opportunity in search marketing. It is quite simply the least expensive, most efficient method of generating leads today. If it isn’t for you I can probably guess why.
I also believe there is opportunity in bringing more digital tools into your sales cycle to build comfort and connection. Like screen-sharing.
Clients hire me to generate more leads-
You can hire me a variety of ways (see links in red at top of right-hand column). Today, in this economy, clients are hiring me these 3 ways:
1) For some, this means hiring us to create a new marketing strategy; a new path forward. This is a three-week process designed to uncover what about your marketing is working, what’s not, give you a sense of what your customers are thinking and, from all this, create a path forward. This is not a full-blown marketing plan that looks out 12 months with multiple strategies and budget. Frankly, things are moving too fast.
Rather, I create a path forward: keep the things that work, integrate changes to your message and methods that make sense from the customer interviews (see below), estimate a budget, implement, measure and adjust.
2) For some, this means hiring us to create more, better qualified website traffic AND converting more of them into leads. Make no mistake, you need both to get results. I am uniquely qualified to get you those results, as a 25+ year veteran of direct response marketing and a Certified Google Adwords Professional.
3) For some, this means hiring me to be at their side, as a Virtual Director of Marketing. This gets me “by your side” to sort through priorities, sharpen your message, get more done and avoid mistakes that cost you time and money.

Message trumps everything. An updated brochure, website or mailer without an updated message that reflects what your customers are concerned about (today, not 18 months when you launched your new site!) are a waste of money. It’s the message, stupid. It really is!
