Clients hire us a variety of ways, the most common of which I describe for you on this page. But know this, I don’t have an investment in how we work together. If we like and are comfortable with each other, if I believe I can make an impact, we can find a path forward that works for both of us.
Many owners I talk to came here looking for answers — a reasonable voice — someone to trust — a solution that makes sense and is affordable.
Like Roger and Chris, co-owners of a contracting business (see CDC video at right). They didn’t know what to do, but they knew they needed to do something to grow sales. I did a marketing assessment and implemented my recommendations. Their goal was to keep two crews busy. Now they have five crews.
Or like Cliff, the COO of a software developer and a coder. The company had lost 20% of its online software business. I’ve been their Virtual Director of Marketing for eight months and I took over their search marketing six months ago. We raised their price, added a new product and are launching in two new sales channels. Currently sales are up 25% and their cost per sale is one-fifth what it was when I took over.

Two weeks, $1,750 and I optimize your site around the actions you want people to take. I interview you and look at your analytics and any session recording tools you use. I present all content and formatting change recommendations in writing and in a net meeting with you. Your web developer can execute the changes, or we can recommend reliable, well-priced developers who can.
Also consider using me to create and manage a Search Marketing Campaign. Three months, $1,250 per month (plus click-through charges) and I bring traffic to your website and grow the number of visitors who take the actions (conversions) you want them to take (make a purchase, complete a form, call). This is a once-a-week process in which I manage both the search and conversion campaigns.
This is a unique service in two ways:
I do both the traffic generation AND the onsite conversion optimization.
I train you in the process. I share my screen with you during each management session and teach you as I manage the campaigns. At the end of three months you’ll be able to manage the campaigns.

Consider hiring me on an hourly basis. Buy a block of my time and use me how and when you need to: advice; brainstorming; priorities; copy-writing; project management. A two-hour retainer costs $500. A 10-hour retainer costs $1,750.

Hire me as your Virtual Director of Marketing. For $1,500 per month I’m your Director of Marketing. We meet once a week via net meeting, layout a plan and start implementing. I’m available in between net meetings via email to maintain momentum.
Hire me to conduct a Marketing Check-Up. Starting at $2,500, a Check-Up is designed to be an inexpensive, fast (three weeks) assessment of what you need to do to move your marketing forward. I talk to you and I talk to your customers. I compare your opinions and perceptions with those of your customers about a variety of important aspects of your marketing. I also look at their expectations around how to find companies like yours. I present a solution in the form of a marketing campaign; what to do and how much it will cost. We are available to implement what I recommend.
